10 things to know about Hindi novelist Ved Prakash Sharma who is no more

Lucknow: Celebrated Hindi novelist Ved Prakash Sharma, who has 176 novels to his credit, died late on Friday in Meerut, his family members said on Saturday. The 62-year-old was not keeping well for the last few months and had developed some infection and complications which led to his demise. He will be cremated in Meerut on Saturday. Names of his famous novels:

Profile of Ved Prakash Sharma: Ved Prakash Sharma was a novelist/writer born on 10th June, 1955 in Meerut city of Uttar Pradesh, India. Sharma had also written scripts for about half-a-dozen Hindi movies. His famous novels which broke many records and added to his popularity included "Qaidi No 100" and "Vardi Wala Gunda". His novel Bahu Maange Insaaf was made into a Bollywood movie in 1985 Bollywood movie Anaam was made on the story based on one of his novels. Bollywood movie Sabse Bada Khiladi was made on the script based on Ved's novel "Lallu" He reportedly wrote the screenplay for the year 1999 Bollywood movie International Khiladi. The movie was directed by Umesh Mehra and it starred Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna in the lead roles.
