Samsung announces Android Nougat 7.1.1 update for Galaxy S7, S7 Edge

NEW DELHI: Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users will get their hands on the latest version of Android Nougat soon as the South Korean smartphone maker is preparing to introduce Android Nougat update to its flagship devices S7 and S7 edge within the next few weeks. Samsung, which recently released fifth beta update for Android Nougat on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, is now focusing on this huge update. Nougat Beta is available to those who had registered for Samsung’s beta program. According to Gadget 360, Samsung has announced that the final build of Android 7.1.1 Nougat will begin rolling out for its flagship devices in January. According to the reports, Samsung will be updating Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones directly to Android 7.1 Nougat instead of the 7.0. Google has already began pushing out its Android 7.1.1 update for Nexus devices. Android Nougat 7.1.1 brings a number of major improvements and upgrades, marking it Google’s most advanced software release to date. 2016 has been an eventful year for smartphone manufacturers with Samsung ruling the hearts and minds of android users with the launch of S7 series in March, while Apple as always offered something different to its ‘lovers’ in the form of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus. However, Samsung has fallen prey to the Note 7 fiasco in Q4 which dented its image.
