New Delhi: OnePlus has already garnered a lot of interest among the smartphone users with the launch of Nord, and it is prepping up to target the ‘budget phone’ users with new launches in the cheaper phone category. It is likely to launch a new budget phone for the Indian market which may feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 or 665 SoC. With this new phone, the OnePlus will mark an entry in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment for the first time since OnePlus X in 2015. The ‘budget’ OnePlus phone is likely to attract positive reviews like the OnePlus Nord, which has offered a premium OnePlus phone experience with a Snapdragon 7 series SoC inside costing under Rs 30,000. When is it expected to launch? As per the leaks, the budget OnePlus phone is likely to be launched by September or in October. If the reports are found to be true and it is launched, then OnePlus may continue to roll out cheaper phones going ahead. The launch could also take place around Diwali in middle of November.
