New Delhi: With over 2.20 billion active users across the globe, social media giant Facebook, over the past decade, has emerged as a major player in the world of online networking. From businesses to individuals and professionals to celebrities, Facebook continues to be one major social media platform to reach out to a maximum number of target audiences. Incepted with an idea to connect college students and other young adults online, Facebook has become a staple for businesses and community organizations. As they say, wisdom and humour can be found in the strangest places, and for many of us, that's the internet. In recent time, social media has become a massive hub of creativity and it looks like there is not stopping. In today’s round the clock running life, users on social media platforms stop by to see some bone tickling memes, creative content, and funny graphics to revitalise themselves. This has resulted in a massive surge in the creation of a number of creative Facebook pages. Memes are probably the most viral form of content available on social media today. You can create a buzz and attack millions by creating something which is relatable to masses and has a funny side to it. One such most liked and interactive Facebook page is – Sadcasm. Created by young social media enthusiasts Aditya Saini and Gaurav Shukla, Sadcasm has been successfully managed to garner a following of around 19 million and counting. The duo created the page with an intention to entertain users, but who knew that someday their casual idea would turn it into one of the most popular Facebook pages in the country. Sharing his experience, Aditya (one of the co-founders of Sadcasm) said, “Our page is like an online amusement park! People gather from all around to witness the content inside and love sharing the experience with others with amusement.” Initially, both partners struggled to expand the reach of their page, but eventually, they overcame the hurdle. “It goes on to show that no matter how many setbacks you have if you don’t give in to your misery, the cream will eventually rise to the top,” says Gaurav Shukla. After rooting itself in the accounts of millions of Facebook users, Sadcasm today is a fully functional social media business with revenue coming in form of paid promotions from some top companies including Ola Cabs, Monster Jobs, Kwid and others. Just like Sadcasm, there are several such creative pages on social media which started with an idea of fun and enjoyment, but today have turned into full-time business attracting a larger section of society.
