Bihar Governor Arlekar Escapes Unhurt After Convoy Meets With Accident, 9 Injured

Fire engine running along with Bihar Governor's convoy lost control and collided with an autorickshaw full of passengers after crossing a divider.

Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar escaped unhurt after his convoy met with an accident in Hajipur on Monday while travelling from Patna to Muzaffarpur, sources said adding that nine people were seriously injured in the accident and were receiving treatment in a hospital. As per sources, the fire engine running along with the convoy lost control in Ratanpura village under the limits of Hajipur Bhagwanpur police station and collided with an autorickshaw full of passengers after crossing a divider.

A total of 9 people, including the fire engine driver and the auto driver, have been badly injured. The condition of one passenger is serious and all the injured were receiving treatment at Hajipur Sadar Hospital.
