Ukraine War: Russia Says Awaiting Kyiv Response On Peace Talks

New Delhi: As the Russia-Ukraine war has entered its 56th day, the Kremlin on Wednesday said it has given a draft record to Kyiv containing 'absolutely clear, elaborate wording' of its requests as a component of peace talks. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov likewise said 'the ball is in their court' and that Russia is now 'waiting for a response', as reported by the news agency AP.
Peskov didn't give further details but guaranteed Kyiv had continually digressed from recently affirmed arrangements. "The dynamic of work on the Ukrainian side leaves much to be desired, the Ukrainians do not show a great inclination to intensify the negotiation process," he was cited as saying.

After these peace talks, Russia limited the attack around Kyiv for a few days. Ukraine claimed that we are very close to the successful completion of the peace talks.

On February 24, Russia surprised the world by announcing an attack on Ukrainian soil. Millions of people have fled Ukraine, with a population of 44 million. The UNHCR said the conflict has displaced more than 7 million within Ukraine. According to the agency, another 13 million people are feared trapped in war-torn areas.
