Bajaj Platina ComforTec Launched; Offers 20% better riding comfort
NewDelhi: Bajaj just introduced new colour schemes on the Avenger Street 150 and the Avenger Cruiser 220. Following the same, it has launched the Bajaj Platina ComforTec. It is available in two trims and the Platina ComforTec has been reworked to offer better riding and commuting comfort.
Bajaj tested the Platina ComforTec against an undisclosed 100 cc market leader motorcycle. The result is claims that Platina ComforTec offers a better riding comfort by up to 20%, compared to the motorcycle tested against.
Bajaj Platina ComforTec improves upon the riding comfort with a front suspension that is 28% longer and a rear suspension 22% longer than the 100 cc market leader.When it comes to Bajaj, the narrow seats have mostly been a literally painful experience. Thus, the Bajaj offers “Spring Soft” seat and rubber footrests. So with the new suspension, improved seat and rubber footrests, the Bajaj Platina ComforTec offers 20% better riding comfort with 20% improved resistance to jerks on rough roads and potholes.
The engine, however, remains the same, as it was launched last year with the 102 cc, DTS-i engine that delivers 8.08 hp at 7,500 rpm and 8.6 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The transmission of power happens via a 4-speed manual gearbox. The Bajaj Platina ComforTec boasts of a steep ARAI certified mileage of 104 km/l.
As mentioned above, offered in two trims, the Platina 100 Alloy ES and Platina 100 Alloy KS, the motorcycle is priced at Rs. 43,241 and Rs. 45,252 (ex-showroom prices, Delhi) respectively. The KS and ES stand for Kickstart and Electric Start. Bajaj offers the Platina ComforTec in three colours—Black, Red and Blue.
