ABP Opinion Poll: UPA Alliance Predicted To Shine In Tamil Nadu; Voters Mood Not In Favour Of BJP, MNM

ABP C-Voter Tamil Nadu Elections 2021 Opinion Poll:: The incumbent Edappadi K. Palaniswami is the CM face of AIADMK. The NDA alliance comprising AIADMK, BJP And Others is predicted to secure 62 seats with about 28.6 per cent vote share.

ABP C-Voter Tamil Nadu Elections 2021 Opinion Poll: As the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday evening announced the dates for much-awaited Assembly Elections in Tamil Nadu, ABP News along with C-Voter conducted an opinion poll to predict the voter's mood.

As per the data collected post ABP Network-C Voter survey, 154-162 seats have been predicted for UPA alliance Which comprises (DMK, Congress and Others) with little over 41 per cent vote share. As per the survey, the NDA alliance (AIADMK, BJP And Others) is projected to secure 58-66 seats with about 28.6 per cent vote share.

Meanwhile, MNM is expected to win 2-6 seats, AMMK 1-5 and Others  5-9 with 8.3 per cent, 6.9 per cent and 14.8 per cent vote share respectively.

It is to be noted that in 2016, NDA alliance comprising AIADMK, BJP and Others was able to secure 136 out of 234-seats with a 43.7% vote share. While main rival DMK-Congress alliance got 98 seats with 39.4% votes to its name. DMK's ally Congress had a dismal outing as they were able to get 8 of the 41 seats it contested on.

The incumbent Edappadi K. Palaniswami is AIADMK’s Chief Ministerial candidate. Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) founder and Tamil actor Kamal Haasan will be seen making an active entry in the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections.

Single-Phased Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections

The term for the 234-member Tamil Nadu legislative assembly will come to an end on May 24, 2021. Before the term end, the Election Commission of India has announced to conduct Tamil Nadu Assembly Polls in single phase on April 6. Counting of votes and result announcement will be done on May 2.

Soon after the announcement of polls were made on February 26, the Model Code Of Conduct came into effect in Tamil Nadu Nadu.

Keeping the Coronavirus situation in mind, arrangements will be made for candidates to file their nominations online and voting will be allowed for an additional hour. Hand gloves will be provided to the voter, for signing on the voter register and pressing the button of EVM for voting. Before this, masks will be given to those who are not wearing one.
