Logout Review: These days, we all have a bad habit: we’re constantly glued to our phones. We go out to eat just to take photos of our food, we travel only to post on social media, and even when we’re physically present somewhere, our attention is consumed by our phones. We’re all either influenced by some influencer or are striving to become one ourselves. In today’s phone-obsessed world, Babil Khan’s latest thriller, 'Logout', is a must-watch. It’s available on Zee5, and you should definitely check it out.
Story
The film revolves around an influencer who is on the verge of reaching 10 million followers, which could potentially land them a major brand deal. However, there’s a competitor in the race. Suddenly, something happens that changes the influencer’s life completely, putting everything at risk. What happens next, how it unfolds, and how it connects with you—this film takes you through a journey that you should watch in this 2-hour movie.
How’s the Film?
It’s a good film. We all use our phones today, and this movie highlights how we’ve become slaves to our devices. It shows how some people ruin their lives in the pursuit of being influencers, whether it’s by trying to gain followers or by aspiring to become an influencer. The film keeps you glued to the screen, with a lot of text and chat messages that you have to read. You will find yourself relating to the story—it feels like it’s about you or someone you know, and that’s the strength of this movie. It brings you closer to your family, the people we’ve grown distant from due to our phone addiction.
Acting
Babil Khan has done an outstanding job. The film largely rests on his shoulders, as he’s the central character in most of the film. Babil proves that he’s a talented actor. You might not believe that he could pull off such a character before watching the film, but the way he immerses himself into the role of an influencer is commendable. Rasika Dugal impresses in her brief but impactful role.
Direction
Bishwapaty Sarkar wrote the story, and Amit Golani directed it. Both have done a phenomenal job. The way they keep the audience engaged with a single character throughout the film is amazing, and this can only be achieved through exceptional writing.
The film never bores you or feels stretched, and all the credit for that goes to the writer and director. Overall, 'Logout' is a must-watch.
