Work From Home: 75% Of People Say They Want To Return To Offices, Reveals Survey

A survey revealed that there has been a decline in the number of people who believe that work-from-home is more productive than working from the office.

New Delhi: Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, people have been encouraged to stay at home rather than going out. In such a situation, many companies began encouraging work-from-home for employees. It has been almost 1.5 years since people have been working from home. However, a recent survey revealed that the majority of people now want to return to their offices.

According to the survey conducted by JJL, 75 per cent of people said they now want to work from the office. At the same time, they also want companies to give employees the choice on whether they want to work from home or from their offices.

The survey revealed that there has been a decline in the number of people who believe that working from home is more productive than working from the office. At the same time, people say that it is the employer's responsibility to provide a safe working environment for the employees.

According to last year's survey, 52 per cent said that they wanted to go to work in the office, a percentage which has now reached 75 per cent in this year's survey. Last year, 92 per cent of people believed that they should have the option to choose whether they want to work either from their homes or offices, in comparison to 89 per cent in this year's survey.

On the contrary, 62 per cent of people have expressed their desire to work neither from home nor from offices but from a completely different place. In this survey, 91 per cent of the respondents believed that they should be able to choose their own working hours, while 86 per cent were in favour of a four-day working week.

Last year, 80 per cent of people believed that they were able to do better while working from home, but this year's survey has reduced the percentage of such people to 67 per cent. Last year, 92 per cent of people were satisfied with their work, while the percentage of these people has fallen to 85 per cent.
