Praveenar Singh, whose nickname is Veena, has become the talk of the town at the 78th Cannes Film Festival. The beautiful Indian-Thai model stunned global audiences with her captivating presence on the red carpet, where she attended the screening of 'Dossier 137' in a silver Princess-style gown by fashion designer Michael Cinco. The moment that made headlines was her meeting with international supermodel Bella Hadid at the Hôtel Martinez.

Who Is Praveenar Singh?

Born on April 16, 1996, in Chiang Mai, Thailand, to Indian parents, Praveenar Singh has consistently made her mark in the pageant and fashion world. With her elegance, strength, and multicultural heritage, Veena is the reigning Miss Universe Saraburi 2025 title holder and marking the beginning of a promising pageant career at the forthcoming Miss Universe Thailand 2025. Her presence at Cannes is a testament to her global popularity and years of perseverance.

Her Pageant Journey

Veena's pageant journey started in 2018 when she initially competed in Miss Universe Thailand, where she represented her own province, Chiang Mai. She placed as 2nd runner-up, which was a launch to a promising pageant career.  She competed once more, securing the 1st runner-up position once again in 2023, this time as Phuket's representative, becoming the first married woman to compete in the pageant since the Miss Universe Organisation lifted their ban on married women. She was successful again as 2nd runner-up.

In 2025, representing Saraburi, she won the provincial crown and secured a place at the national Miss Universe Thailand competition for the fourth time, a testament to her persistence and popularity.

Education And Early Life

Veena completed her education at Satree Yala School in Yala and went on to obtain her bachelor's degree in liberal studies at the prestigious university Thammasat University in Bangkok. Her early life, deeply immersed in both Thai and Indian cultures, contributes to her distinct charm and international popularity.
