Stonewall Day is an annual celebration in New York City commemorating the anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion in 1969. The event, founded six years ago by Pride Live, raises awareness for the Stonewall legacy and the ongoing fight for full LGBTQ+ equality. It also serves as a fundraiser for the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Centre (SNMVC), the National Park Service's first LGBTQ+ visitor centre, which is set to open in June 2024. Previous Stonewall Day ambassadors include, among others, Andy Cohen, Chelsea Clinton, Dustin Lance Black, and Anna Wintour.
