2. According to astrologers, 'Naag Devta' is worshipped on Panchami. His worship is said to be auspicious.
3. Just like on Chaturthi, you need to fast on Naag Panchami and eat once in the evening.
4. While doing 'Pooja' on Naag Panchami, the picture or idol of a snake should be worshipped by installing it duly on a wooden board.
5. Offer turmeric, kanku, roli, rice and flowers to the idol. Mix raw milk, ghee, sugar and offer it to the snake idol.
6. After the puja, pray to 'Naag Devta' and finally listen to the story of Nag Panchami.
7. Auspicious time to worship 'Serpent God' : from 05:48:49 pm to 08:27:36 i.e. 2 hours 38 minutes.
