Devi Chowdhurani Shmashan Kali Temple's worship has entered it's 250th year. This temple is located near the 31st National Highway in Goshala More, Jalpaiguri. Bhubanee Pathak was the first priest of this temple. Legend has it that in 1890, Nayan Kapalik was given death penalty for performing human sacrifices, and since then, this temple closed following the practice.

However, during Kali Puja night, the tradition of 'Pantha Boli' (sacrifice of a goat) is still being continued in the Devi Chowdhurani Kali Temple. Surrounded by dense jungle and enclosed with ancient banyan trees, the temple stands in silence. It is said that if one gets goosebumps if he/she roams alone around the temple during the day. It is also believed that Devi Chowdhurani used to come out for dacoity with her companion Bhubanee Pathak after worshiping at the Shmashan Kali Temple.

Alongside the daily worship, a special worship is organized on Kali Puja night. Devotees offer various delicacies to the Goddess, including dal, rice, various fried items, and the favorite Shol and Boal fish near the Shmashan Kali.

The footprint of Sati is engraved on a stone. In the midst of the Bokunthapur forest lies another significant temple among the 51 Satipeeths, known as Bhrimer Devi Mandir. This temple is popularly known as the Bhramaridevi Temple in Bodaganj, Jalpaiguri. It has come into prominence since the 90s. Kings used to worship here before going for hunting in the jungle, as per the legends. Daily worship takes place at this temple. Offerings are made to the Goddess every Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday. Special offerings are made on Amavasya and Purnima with Kali Puja being celebrated withgrandeur every year.
