Here's All You Need To Know About Milan Fashion Week 2023

The third leg of Fashion Month officially began in Milan on Wednesday and will continue until February 27, with over 50 Runway shows with the usual heavy hitters such as Prada, Gucci, Fendi, & Diesel.

Milan Fashion Week has begun with a bang, with leading Italian labels Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, and Missoni displaying flair and sophistication for the autumn/winter 2023-24 season.

There will be 59 catwalk displays from Giorgio Armani to Bottega Veneta between February 21 and February 27, with the big fashion event taking place after news of LVMH and Kering's record revenues.

Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, and Missoni are among Italy's leading labels presenting at Milan Fashion Week this week, with the industry boosted by record sales despite the country's war-torn economy.

The event will run from February 21 through February 27.

Famous labels such as Etro, Giorgio Armani, Prada, Bottega Veneta, and Moschino are also displaying their autumn/winter 2023-2024 collections, with 59 catwalk shows scheduled between now and February 27, as per reports.

According to reports, exhibitions by US video artist Bill Viola and the late French fashion photographer Guy Bourdin, whose show is coordinated by Giorgio Armani, will also be on the sidelines.

On Friday, the first Black Carpet Awards were held.

The Afro Fashion Association is organising the gala evening to celebrate diversity, which has long been an issue in Milan.

Despite the oil crisis and global instability brought on by Ukraine's war, which began nearly exactly one year ago, prominent luxury companies are thriving.

LVMH, whose Italian brands include Fendi, Bulgari, and Loro Piana, reported a 23 per cent growth in revenue and a 17 per cent rise in net profit in 2022, all of which were records for the group, AFP reported.

Kering, France's second-largest luxury firm, reported a 14 per cent increase in profit last year despite a decline in fourth-quarter earnings at its flagship Gucci, according to AFP.
