J.K. Rowling To The Rescue Of Bored Children Worldwide, Launches 'Harry Potter At Home' Hub

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone as e-book and audiobook are available for free worldwide throughout April to support parents, caregivers, teachers and the children who are stuck at home during the lockdown.

New Delhi: British author J.K. Rowling jumps in support of parents, caregivers, teachers and the children who are stuck at home during the lockdown. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is available for free worldwide all throughout April, hoping that her much-loved series can keep children & adults entertained during this lockdown. The book is available as an e-book and audiobook. The audiobook will be available in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Japanese, including the version performed by British actor Stephen Fry will accessible in North America for the first time. Every week on “Wizarding Wednesdays” through an email newsletter will provide quizzes, fun activities and more. A new hub has also been launched on the official website WizardingWorld.com called Harry Potter at Home aimed at attracting young children to the Harry Potter & the Fantastic Beasts series. The Harry Potter series has enthralled a generation of readers around the globe, selling more than 500 million copies in 80 languages which also gave way to the $7 billion movie franchise. The Coronavirus lockdown has made parents and caregivers working from home and caring for the children at the same time. As adults around the world try to keep life as normal as possible for children during such serious time little joys like these hopes to make a difference and keep children engaged.
