The groom's mother, Nita Ambani, being true to her cultures and traditions paid a visit to Varanasi, days before the wedding, to worship Lord Shiva and send her first invitation to the almighty. In line with her vision of sharing India’s rich cultural heritage with the world, the Ambani family will be paying homage to the holy city of Kashi or Varanasi at the much-awaited wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
Resting in the sacred embrace of Ganga, Varanasi is the cradle of Indian civilization. Leading up to the nuptials, Nita Ambani paid a visit to the ancient seat of culture to seek the blessings of Kashi Vishwanath for the new couple. Her deep reverence for the ‘Eternal City’ is manifested in thoughtful thematic details of the wedding, where its beauty, positivity, light, and purity will be reimagined in spectacular ways.

Wedding Décor & Theme:
The theme of the wedding décor is 'An Ode to Varanasi' as the family will pay homage to the eternal city, its tradition, piety, culture, arts and crafts and the Banarasi cuisine. This immersive experience of Banaras recreated throughout the Concourse of the Wedding Venue at Jio World Centre is designed to bring the essence of the streets of Banaras to life, allowing guests to engage with the city's traditions, flavours, and spirituality.
Through carefully curated stalls and dedicated guest services, attendees will not only enjoy the event but also take away lasting memories of their journey through the ghats of Banaras as they enjoy each and every flavour. Ranging from Banarasi chaat, mithai, lassi, chai and Khari, and paan & mukhwas, the menu speaks volumes about Varanasi's gastronomical delight.
Guests can take a look at traditional arts like brasswork, pottery, Banarasi & Kanjeevaram sarees, Polki jewellery, and rosewood furniture. In addition, they can also get their stars read at the astrology shop, enjoy fragrances at the attar shop, smell the flowers at the florist, get their pretty and colourful bangles at the bangle seller, enjoy a puppet show, and get fun photos clicked at the photo studio.
Dress Code Theme:
The dress code for the guests has been set to Indian Formals while for the Ambanis the wedding attire will showcase a spectacular display of the rich cultural heritage of India’s talented couturiers and artisans. A burst of colours, fabrics, textures and techniques – the fashion at the Ambani-Merchant wedding is set to show India’s rich cultural heritage.

The Anant-Radhika wedding will indeed be a grand affair paying tribute to Varanasi and India's rich cultural heritage. Apart from the food and decor, an audio-visual spectacle 'Dashaavatar', a definitive exhibit of Lord Vishnu’s 10 avatars as depicted in the Puranas will also be arranged. It will be a spectacular experience that immerses the audience in a cosmic journey of India’s spiritual heritage through infinite time and space.
