Siddaramaiah Behind Fall Of Congress-JDS Govt In 2019: BJP Leader's Bombshell Amid Karnataka CM Crisis
Amid the ongoing Karnataka CM tussle, BJP leader Dr. Sudhakar K has dropped a bombshell accusing Siddaramaiah for the fall of the Congress-JDS government after the 2019 general elections.
Amid deepening suspense over the Karnataka Chief Minister crisis, BJP leader Dr. Sudahkar K has dropped a bombshell that could shake the Congress leadership. Sudhakar, who was in Congress when the alliance government fell down in 2019, said that Siddaramaiah is the reason that the Congress-JDS government collapsed after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Sudhakar made the shocking allegations on Twitter and said that Siddaramaiah would express his helplessness whenever MLAs went to him with their concerns.
"During the JDS-Cong coalition govt in 2018, whenever MLAs went to the then Coordination Committee Chairman Shri Siddaramaiah with their concerns, he used to express his helplessness and say that he has no say in the govt and his constituency/district works itself are stalled," he tweeted.
He said that Siddaramaiah said he won't let the HD Kumaraswamy government stand even for a 'single day' after the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, adding "Siddaramaiah used to assure MLAs to wait till 2019 Lok Sabha polls and come what may he won't allow Shri HD Kumaraswamy led coalition govt to continue even for a single day after Lok Sabha polls".
Ultimately some of us had to inevitably quit Congress and go back to the people in bypolls, to protect the karyakartas and supporters in our constituencies.

Can Shri Siddaramaiah deny the fact that he had no role, implicitly or explicitly, in this move by Congress MLAs?

Notably, Sudahkar had left the Congress party in 2021 and termed the Congress-JDS alliance an 'unholy coalition'. "I was pushed to quit Congress due to its unholy alliance with JDS for the greed of money and power of few leaders. It is irony that @siddaramaiah, who fought against Congress & its leaders for 30 years and later joined the same party for the sake of power, is preaching me," he had tweeted.

This comes as Congress is trying very hard to put a united front after winning the assembly polls in Karnataka while the decision on its CM is yet to be taken. Top contenders Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar are in Delhi as rounds of talks take place at party chief Mallikarjun Kharge's Delhi residence.
