Karnataka Election: BJP's 40% Commission Governance Will Get It Only 40 Seats, Says Rahul Gandhi
Karnataka Election 2023: Rahul Gandhi held a massive road show in Vijayapura, waving to a large, enthusiastic crowd lined up on both sides of the route.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said the Congress party will win at least 150 seats, while 40 per cent BJP government will get only 40 seats. "BJP govt is the most corrupt in India, they take 40% commission...the same money was used to steal MLAs of previous govt. Will the PM tell about the source of money used to buy MLAs in Goa, MP, Karnataka, Northeast," the leader said during his roadshow in Vijayapura.

"During UPA govt, we did a caste census. PM Modi must publicise that data, it will be clear as to how many OBCs, STs, Dalits, and minorities are there. PM Modi isn't releasing the data of the OBC census because he doesn't want to give the wealth of India," he added.
Massive Crowds Join Rahul Gandhi On His Road Show In Vijayapura
Ahead of the May 10 Karnataka Assembly polls, Rahul held a massive road show in Vijayapura on Sunday, waving to a large, enthusiastic crowd lined up on both sides of the route.
Standing atop a specially designed vehicle, Gandhi constantly waved to the crowds gathered in the streets and on nearby buildings, many of whom could be heard chanting "Rahul, Rahul" and cheering wildly.
After wrapping the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue in garland, he started the road show.
People holding Congress banners moved along as the vehicle conveying Gandhi and other Congress leaders went through the roads from Shivaji Circle and Kanakadasa Circle, in the midst of the sound of drum beats.
Gandhi was accompanied on the road show by M B Patil, the chief of the Karnataka Congress campaign committee, and a number of other party leaders and workers.
Gandhi recently started his two-day visit to poll-bound Karnataka from Kudala Sangama, where he offered regard to 12th-century writer and social reformer Basaveshwara on his introduction to the world commemoration, celebrated as Basava Jayanti today.
ABP-Cvoter Karnataka Opinion Poll
According to the ABP News CVoter Opinion Poll, with 2.1 per cent upswing, Congress is leading in projected vote share percentage at 40.1 per cent. BJP is losing some foothold as they dip to 34.7% from their vote share of 36% from the previous state assembly election. The regional party Janata Dal (Secular)-led by HD Deve Gowda remains almost constant in terms of vote share.
As per the ABP-CVoter survey, JDS will be able to gather 17.9% vote share which is -0.1% down from their 2018 Karnataka assembly election performance.
Congress leader Siddaramaiah also seems to be ahead in the race as the most preferred chief minister candidate, according to an ABP News-CVoter survey. According to the survey, 39.1 per cent of voters would want to see former CM Siddaramaiah back in the post.
Incumbent Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai from the Bharatiya Janata Party came next in the list of most preferred CM candidates, with 31.1 per cent people voters ready to give him a chance to continue with a second term.
On March 29, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar announced the poll schedule for the election of the 224-member Karnataka Legislative Assembly. The state will go to polls on May 10 and the votes will be counted on May 13.
The term of the current Karnataka Legislative Assembly would end on May 24, 2023.
