Biker's Death In Karnataka: Potholes Still Pose A Serious Threat To Safety Of Commuters
The deceased, identified as Harsha, was riding a bike when he lost control while trying to evade a pothole and a car hit him from behind.
Chennai: The pothole deaths are increasing in Karnataka with the recent death of a student who died while trying to evade potholes filled with water during the night in Attur area of Yelahanka in Karnataka. However, till now despite the deaths, no proper action has been taken to close the potholes. As a result, the pothole-ridden roads in the Attur area of Yelahanka continue to pose a serious threat to the safety of commuters.
In a tweet, ANI said, “A biker died after he was hit by a car that overturned due to a pothole in the Attur area of Yelahanka on Saturday. Two others were injured near Attur layout. The deceased, identified as 24 y/o Harsha, was riding a bike when he lost control while trying to evade a pothole as a car hit him.”
“Pothole-ridden road in the Attur area of Yelahanka poses a serious threat to the safety of commuters,” it said.

The deaths due to potholes are increasing in Bengaluru. Earlier, a 50-year-old woman was run over by a bus while she tried to avoid a pothole while riding a two-wheeler in Rajajinagar.
On Diwali, some of the residents burst crackers at a pothole as a mark of protest. They also demanded the BJP-led government improve the condition of the pothole in the city of Bengaluru.
Even when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited Karnataka as part of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Congress MP highlighted the issue in the city.
