Bengaluru: Mother, Daughter Die After Cement Mixer Truck Crashes Car
Bengaluru Accident: The incident took place at 7.35 am at Byalamara Doddi when Gayatri was on the way to drop Samatha, seated next to her, at school in a car.
Chennai: A woman and her daughter died after a concrete mixer truck overturned and fell on their vehicle on Bannerghatta Road in Bengaluru on Thursday. The duo has been identified as Gayatri Kumar and her daughter Samatha (15) of Concorde Napa Valley on Kaggalipura main road.
The incident took place at 7.35 am at Byalamara Doddi when Gayatri was on the way to drop Samatha, seated next to her, at school in a car.
According to ANI, Bengaluru police said, “ A woman named Gayathri Kumar and her daughter Samatha Kumar died when a concrete mixer truck overturned and crushed their vehicle on Bengaluru's Bannerghatta Road.”
“We identified the truck owner and the search for the driver and owner is underway,” they said.

Gayatri was an IT employee while her daughter was a Class 10 student at Sherwood High in Basavanapura at Bannerghatta Main Road, as per a report on Times of India.
The incident took place when the truck driver while negotiating a curve lost the balance of the vehicle and as a result, the truck overturned on the car. In the impact, the car completely crashed and the passersby who came for help were unable to pull the victims from the car.
Following this, they alerted the police who rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies of the two with the help of a crane and JCB. The mother and daughter were shifted to a nearby hospital but they were declared dead.
