Earlier on Monday (January 23), Former Karnataka chief minister and BJP top leader BS Yediyurappa claimed that Congress leaders DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah are still breathing, but their breath will stop after the assembly elections, predicting that the BJP will win power in Karnataka.

He also predicted the impending Karnataka elections this year. The ex-CM stated that Congress leader Siddaramaiah will not run from Kolar as previously declared, but will instead run from the old Mysuru region.

Meanwhile, Siddaramiah earlier on Monday said that he wouldn't join BJP even if they make him the President or the Prime Minister. Speaking about his work during his tenure, he said that he provided food security to everyone and the ruling BJP has failed to do so.
