Owaisi attacks Amit Shah over 'Ram temple' remark

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Jul 14 (ANI): All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday hit out at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah for his remark on the construction of Ram Temple at the disputed site in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya.

"I want to know from the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it there something they know and the country does not. Is the Supreme Court going to give judgment in their favour? Who is going to write the judgment? Is it the supreme court or the court of the prime minister and Shah," Owaisi said.

The AIMIM chief earlier on Friday Tweeted that it is better if the Ayodhya judgment comes after the 2019 General polls as it would influence the elections.

Meanwhile, the BJP hit out at Owaisi and said the latter is known for "his divisive agenda across the country."

"He has some kind of obsession against the BJP and Amit Shah who is the president of the party," Sambit Patra said.

Amit Shah, while addressing a rally in Hyderabad on Friday, said the Ram Temple would be built before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. (ANI)
