Morni gang-rape: One more accused arrested

Morni (Haryana) [India], Jul 22 (ANI): The Panchkula Police arrested another accused named Sahab Singh in connection with Chandigarh's Morni Hill gang-rape case, on Saturday.

An FIR has been registered against Singh under section 328 (causing hurt by means of poison), 342 (wrongful confinement), 376 D (gang-rape) and 506 (criminal Intimidation) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Earlier on Friday, two people were arrested by the police in the case.

A 22-year-old woman was allegedly held captive for four days and gang-raped by at least 40 men in Chandigarh's Morni Hill area from July 15 to 18.

The woman, in her complaint, said that the accused took her to the guesthouse on the pretext of a housekeeping job.(ANI)
