J-K: Infiltration bid foiled, two armed intruders killed in Uri
Uri (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Sept. 24 (ANI): Two armed intruders were killed after the Indian army foiled an infiltration bid in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri sector on Sunday.
The Indian Army Northern Command took to Twitter to confirm the news, saying, "#IndianArmy Infiltration bid foiled in Uri sector. Two armed intruders killed. Ops in progress"
The operation is currently underway.
Meanwhile, the Indian Army busted a terrorist hideout in Jammu and Kashmir's Handwara District and seized a large cache of explosive material and ammunition, including an anti-aircraft gun.
The hideout was busted by 47 Rashtriya Rifles in the forest area of Chak Kigam Handwara, 95 km from Srinagar, the search of the hideout led to the recovery of one anti aircraft gun, one RPG, one LMG, one Ak 47 with 3 magazines, two pistols with 4 magazines,1 IED, one RS Kenwood and one dagger.
Earlier in the day, two jawans were injured in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Bhimber Gali (BG) sector of Jammu and Kashmir' Rajouri district. And one terrorist was gunned down by the security forces in Kashmir's Uri area in Baramulla sector. (ANI)
