Heavy rainfall predicted

New Delhi [India], July 22 (ANI): The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall in the states of Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Gangetic West Bengal, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Vidharbha (Maharashtra).

The warning came due to a depression formed in the northwest Bay of Bengal.

The high alert in these states has been issued in case of any untoward situation. All NDRF teams have been equipped with boats, divers and other flood rescue related equipment along with paramedic staff.

In addition, the NDRF teams deployed in Gujarat are continuing with the restoration work in the flood-affected areas.

A total of 112 NDRF teams have been deployed across the country. (ANI)
