Encounter underway in J-K's Kupwara

Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Jul 26 (ANI): An encounter is underway between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district.

No casualties have been reported so far. More details are awaited.

In recent months, the state has witnessed a huge spurt in terror activities.

Two terrorists were gunned down by security forces on Wednesday in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district.

Another encounter between the terrorists and security personnel was reported on Wednesday in Kupwara.

On July 24, an army man was killed and two others sustained bullet injuries after terrorists attacked the Central Reserve Police Force party at Srinagar's Batmaloo area. (ANI)
