Covid Vaccine Coverage: PM Modi Lauds Vaccinators And Frontline Workers On 200 Crore Doses Milestone
PM Modi stated that future generations will be proud of India's performance in achieving its pledge throughout the pandemic crisis.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised all vaccinators in a letter as India surpassed the COVID-19 inoculation milestone of 200 crore doses administered to its citizens, and said, "it happenned due to efforts of people like you." According to official sources, Modi also stated that future generations will be proud of India's performance in achieving its pledge throughout the pandemic crisis, news agency PTI reported.
Vaccinators, healthcare personnel and support staff, and frontline workers have all played critical roles in keeping the country's citizens safe, he wrote.

"The speed and coverage which India provided to the world's largest vaccination programme is excellent, and this has happened due to efforts of people like you," the prime minister said in the letter.
India Crosses 2 Billion Covid Vaccine Doses Milestone
Earlier on Sunday, India reached a significant milestone in its COVID-19 immunisation campaign, as the total number of vaccine doses delivered in the country topped the 200-crore mark.
According to health ministry figures, 98% of the adult population has gotten at least one shot, with 90% completely vaccinated.
According to the figures, 82% of teenagers aged 15 to 18 years have received the first dosage since vaccination for this age group began on January 3, while 68% have received both the first and second dose.
Eighty-one percent of individuals aged 12-14 years have had their first dosage, and 56% are completely vaccinated.
According to health ministry authorities, 71% of vaccinations have taken place at Covid vaccination centres located in rural regions, with the remaining 29% taking place in urban areas.
In addition, women received 48.9% of total dosages, while males received 51.5 percent. 'Others' received 0.02 percent of all vaccination doses delivered, according to the statistics.
In Andhra Pradesh, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Chandigarh, Telangana, and Goa, 100% of the 12-year-old and older population is completely vaccinated.
