NEET -PG 2021 | Reduce Cut-Off By 15 Percentile And Declare Revised Results: Govt To NBE

The Directorate General of Health Services has in the letter asked for reducing the “cut off by 15 percentile across all categories”.

New Delhi: The Directorate General of Health Services wrote to the National Board of Examinations (NBE) on Saturday regarding reduction of percentile for NEET -PG 2021.

The Directorate General of Health Services has in the letter asked for reducing the “cut off by 15 percentile across all categories”.

“After due discussion and deliberation, it has been decided by the MoHFW in consultation with NMC with prior approval from Hon’ble HFM to reduce the cut off by 15 percentile across all categories i.e. the qualifying percentile for general category may be reduced to 35th percentile, for PH(Genl) to 30th percentile and for reserved category to 25th percentile,” Dr B. Srinivas, Assistant Director General (Medical Education) and Member Secretary of the Medical Counselling Committee wrote in his letter, ANI reported.

“In view of the above, you are requested to kindly declare the revised result and send the revised result data of the newly eligible candidates to the office of the undersigned at the earliest. This issues with approval of the Competent Authority,” he added in his letter to Prof. Dr Minu Bajpai, Executive Director, National Board of Examinations, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

This comes as the registration and choice-filling for the mop-up round of NEET PG counselling 2021 will end today.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), which was supposed to close the registrations earlier on March 7, later extended it to March 12.

All the seats of NEET PG counselling that remained vacant in the first and second rounds will now be filled in the mop-up round on March 12.

The candidates, who want to register, can visit the MCC’s official website for the same.
