India's Covid Tally Breaches 47-Lakh Mark With A Spike Of 94K Cases, Recovery Rate Improves Exponentially

According to the data provided by the Health Ministry, India’s Covid-19 recovery has witnessed a steep exponential rise and attributed it to aggressive testing and prompt surveillance. The country’s recovery rate stands at 77.77 percent.

Corona In India: The nation's Covid 19 case tally crossed 47 lakh mark with a spike of 94,372 new cases & 1,114 deaths reported in the last 24 hours. According to the data provided by the Health Ministry, the total case tally stands at 47,54,357 including 9,73,175 active cases, 37,02,596 cured/discharged/migrated & 78,586 deaths.
ICMR said that a total of 5,62,60,928 samples tested up to 12th September. Of these, 10,71,702 samples were tested yesterday. More than 70,000 recoveries are being reported every day even as India struggles to arrest its Covid-19 cases. India's Covid-19 caseload raced past 46 lakh with a record 97,570 infections being reported in a day, while 36,24,196 people have recuperated so far, taking the national recovery rate to 77.77 percent on Saturday, according to Union health ministry data.
Sixty percent of the total recovered cases are being reported from five states - Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh, the ministry said. The country recorded the highest ever single-day recoveries of 81,533 on Saturday, according to the ministry. The Covid-19 case fatality rate due to the coronavirus infection has further dropped to 1.66 percent. Sixty-nine percent of the fatalities are concentrated in five states and union territories of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Delhi, it said. With 4,321 cases, Delhi sees its highest jump Delhi recorded its biggest single-day jump of 4,321 cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, taking the city’s tally to over 2.14 lakh. Death toll in Delhi mounted to 4,715 with 28 fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours. In the last four days when Delhi has recorded more than 4,000 new cases of Covid-19 daily, the number of tests carried out has been above 50,000. Union Home Minister admitted to AIIMS After being treated from Covid 19, undergoing post-corona treatment, and having recovered from the disease, Home Minister Amit Shah was discharged from AIIMS on 31st August. The Home Minister has been re-admitted to AIIMS on Saturday night at around 11 PM. According to reports, Amit Shah has been experiencing breathing issues post his recovery from coronavirus.
