Wordle Answer Today (June 13): Guessing Game Gets Nautical. Check Out Solution

Wordle challenged fans with its now-iconic six-guess format, pushing them to identify a mystery word with little more than letter feedback.

Wordle Answer Today: For players stuck in the Wordle doldrums on Friday, June 13, today's five-letter puzzle brought a dose of marine mechanics. The answer? BILGE — a word that may have left landlubbers scratching their heads.

As always, Wordle challenged fans with its now-iconic six-guess format, pushing them to identify a mystery word with little more than letter feedback. Green meant correct placement, yellow hinted at a right letter in the wrong spot, and grey eliminated possibilities. But even seasoned players found themselves adrift with this one.

Hint Drop: It’s the Bottom of the Boat

To help players stay afloat, a few strategic clues were shared. For starters, players were told that the word begins with “B” and ends in “E.” It also contains two vowels and features five unique letters — meaning no repeats to narrow down through elimination.

The final nudge? “You’ll find this at the bottom of a ship.” That was the clincher — though only if you’re familiar with nautical terms. And if you started with “legit,” you got a decent break: four letters lit up in yellow, giving you a chance to course-correct.

Wordle Word Revealed: BILGE

If you were still fumbling around with guesses like "brine" or "blade," don’t worry — the big reveal was as surprising as it was satisfying. The answer for June 13's Wordle puzzle was BILGE.

And what exactly is bilge? "The 'bilge' of a ship is the lowest part of the hull. In other words, it's inside the ship, right at the bottom below the water line." A tough but fair word, fitting for a Friday challenge.

Keeping the Streak Alive

For those clinging to a months-long streak, it’s natural to seek a lifeline when the word feels out of reach. As the Wordle craze continues into its 1,455th edition, hints and guides like today’s are proving essential for players who enjoy the daily mental jolt — but also wouldn’t mind staying undefeated.

Well played if you got it. And if not? There’s always tomorrow’s word waiting to test your grey matter.
