Sony is giving gamers a hot summer treat — the PlayStation 5 Slim is now available at a Rs 5,000 discount for a limited time. In a rare move, the tech giant has announced a price cut on its PS5 Slim models, making this one of the most budget-friendly opportunities yet to jump into next-gen gaming.

With this new offer, the prices come down to Rs 39,990 and Rs 49,990 respectively — a significant drop, especially considering Sony’s consoles rarely see such official markdowns.
The offer is applicable to models CFI-2008A and CFI-2008B only, and will be live from April 17 to May 14. It’s available across all major platforms, including Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, Blinkit, and Sony’s own ShopAtSC and Sony Centers.
"Customers will get the opportunity to buy the PS5 Slim at a special price and make the most of the Summer Sale. This promotional offer ensures a cost-effective option for gamers looking to upgrade their console experience,” Sony said in a statement.
Stocks Won’t Last Forever

What’s Under The Hood Of The PS5 Slim?
Despite being more compact — about 30% slimmer and 25% lighter than the original PS5 — the Slim version doesn’t skimp on performance. It comes equipped with the powerful x86-64-AMD Ryzen Zen 2 CPU and AMD Radeon RDNA 2-based GPU, paired with 16GB of GDDR6 RAM and 1TB SSD storage.
The PS5 Slim supports 4K gaming at up to 120Hz, and even 8K resolution for compatible titles. The disc version features a detachable HD Blu-ray drive, offering flexibility for physical game collectors. Also included are features like Tempest 3D AudioTech and ray tracing, which bring immersive visuals and sound to supported games.
