PS Plus Essential Free Games Announced For July: Check Them Out

The free PS Plus Essential games will be available starting July 5.

PlayStation Plus was relaunched this month with three new tiers. The classic PS Plus plan is now called PlayStation Plus Essential, and it features the same benefits as before, which include three free games every month, access to online gaming, as well as exclusive discounts and perks. The free PS Plus Essential games for July have now been announced and it brings a classic platformer to both PS4 and PS5 users. Unlike previous occasions, PS Plus Essential this time offered just a single PS4-exclusive game alongside two titles for users of both consoles.

The free PS Plus Essential games will be available starting July 5. The free games for June — God of War, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl — will be available to be added to your library until July 4.

Here’s a quick look at the three free PS Plus Essential games for July. 

Crash Bandicoot: It’s About Time

Available to PS4 and PS5 users, It’s About Time is the eighth main instalment in the Crash Bandicoot franchise. It will let you play as the iconic marsupial as he jumps over impossible hurdles and takes on swarms of baddies in his signature wacky style. You will also get to play as series icons such as Coco, Tawna, Dingogile, as well as Dr. Neo Cortex. Platformers don’t really get any better than this!

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan

Developed by Supermassive Games, the same studio that brought out Until Dawn and The Quarry, Man of Medan is an interactive horror that continuously changes the storyline based on your in-game choices. No two gameplays are expected to be the same. Unlike Until Dawn, Man of Medan offers a fun multiplayer mode (including offline co-op) that will let you team up with friends and take on the terrifying campaign. The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan will be a PS4 exclusive.

Arcadegeddon

Available to both PS4 and PS5 users, Arcadegeddon is a co-op multiplayer arcade title that will let you engage rivals in a mix of PvE and PvP gameplay. You will get to team up with friends to explore a handful of procedurally generated biomes, find collectibles, and battle hordes of enemies and bosses.

In India, PS Plus Essential is priced at Rs 499 per month, Rs 1,199 for three months, and Rs 2,299 for 12 months.
