GTA Online Streamer Tries To Leak DLC Early, Gets Yeeted By Rockstar Admin

A GTA player not only illicitly gained early access to the new Money Fronts DLC ahead of official release, but also broadcast it to the public on social media, leading to Rockstar’s quick response.

"You have been kicked from this session by a Rockstar Games administrator" — that’s the message a GTA Online gamer was greeted with when he made a sketchy attempt to draw eyeballs during a livestream. But justifiably so. With an altered PS5 system and a crafty mind, the gamer tried to livestream unreleased material from the new Money Fronts DLC, which was set to roll out shortly.

While he got immediately ejected from the session by a Rockstar Games admin, with the company actively enforcing unauthorised access before official releases, the internet is wondering how he burrowed into the closely guarded server.

How He Got Early Access To GTA Online Money Fronts Update

Albeit the Money Fronts update was officially set to come out on June 17, the DLC had previously been stacked onto Rockstar’s servers as part of a routine measure to ease traffic congestion on the launch day.

Utilising the opportune moment, some modders were able to dig into these preloaded files using jailbroken consoles and trigger parts of the update early.

Meanwhile, not only did the player in question gain early access to the update, but also broadcast it to the public on social media, leading to Rockstar’s quick response.

The ban was streamed in real time, with netizens remarking upon the streamer.

Rockstar’s ‘Zero Tolerance Policy’

With a stringent policy against cheaters, modders and leakers, Rockstar Games has shown zero tolerance when it comes to unreleased material — and this time was no different.

Especially after high-profile leaks related to GTA VI and previous GTA Online patches in 2024, the studio has constantly upped the notch in its efforts to prevent leaks during the past few years. Take-Two, the studio’s parent company, has also followed an aggressive modus operandi in seeking legal and platform-level enforcement against violators of terms of service or those who leak proprietary content.
