GTA 6 Leaked: 90 Video Clips, Allegedly Of Grand Theft Auto’s Next Instalment, Surface Online
GTA 6 leaks suggest male and female protagonists as well as a Vice City setting.
GTA 6 has been allegedly leaked. The last instalment in Rockstar’s incredibly successful franchise — GTA 5 — broke cover nearly a decade ago, in 2013, and has been released on three generations of consoles to date. Work on the much-awaited next chapter has reportedly been going on for quite some time now, and if the latest leaks are believed to be true, GTA 6 might offer an option between male and female protagonists, as well as a Vice CIty-based map. Noted gaming journalist Jason Schreier tweeted that the Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks are “indeed real” and might prove to be a “nightmare” for Rockstar Games.
GTA 6 leaks
As per media reports, a user who goes by teapotuberhacker posted a zip file GTAForum, a platform for fans to share discussion threads and posts on the franchise. The user wrote, “Here are 90 footage/clips from GTA 6. It's possible I could leak more data soon, GTA 5 and 6 source code and assets, GTA 6 testing build.”
While the post is no longer available on GTAForums, the user’s Telegram account has now been deleted.
The leaked video clips eventually made their way to YouTube, Twitter, and other social media platforms. The videos will not be linked back in this article for copyright issues.
For starters, the GTA 6 leaks showed gameplay featuring a male as well as a female protagonist, falling in line with previous leaks. The name of the female protagonist is tipped to be LUCIA, who could be of Latin American origin, going by the leaks.
As per the leak, GTA 6 might come with a Red Dead Redemption II-style dialogue system, where you can choose how to respond to NPCs within the game, with your decisions expected to have consequences within the campaign and in-game world. GTA 6 will also have RPG elements for its protagonists, including the likes of hunger, fatigue, tiredness, and hydration. The protagonist will also be able to crawl on the ground for some added stealth this time around.
GTA 6 will also have a detailed swimming mechanism. Although there’s no word yet on underwater exploration. The in-game police will now be able to remember the plates of your car, making escapes slightly more challenging. However, the police will no longer rush to your location like crazy during assaults but surround your area first, much like how real-life police operate.
Lastly, GTA 6 could be set in Vice City, as some of the leaked videos showed road signs with locations such as Washington Beach and North Beaches - Lake Leonids.
GTA 6 leaks a 'nightmare' for Rockstar
Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier took to Twitter to confirm with his sources at Rockstar that the GTA 6 leaks are “indeed real.” He said that the footage is early and unfinished and that the leaks could turn out to be a “nightmare” for the studio.
Schreier explained why he believed this could be a nightmare scenario. He said the leaks will disrupt work “for a while”. He also suggested that this may lead to management limiting work-from-home flexibility.
Not that there was much doubt, but I’ve confirmed with Rockstar sources that this weekend’s massive Grand Theft Auto VI leak is indeed real. The footage is early and unfinished, of course. This is one of the biggest leaks in video game history and a nightmare for Rockstar Games

It should be noted that Rockstar hasn’t offered any official response to the GTA 6 leaks so far.
