BGMI 2.7 Update Brings Dragon Ball Super Characters, Powers, Zones: All You Need To Know
BGMI-maker Krafton will also announce a collaboration with Aston Martin soon.
Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) developer Krafton has announced a partnership with Dragon Ball Super. This collaboration introduces a sweeping gameplay transformation through the version 2.7 update, which is now live. The first of the two Dragon Ball Super modes is set to unravel within the game, commencing today and lasting until October 9. This mode marries the essence of Dragon Ball with the classic BGMI battle royale gameplay. Players can embark on a quest to collect seven Dragon Balls, summon Shenron, and make game-changing wishes at the Shenron Summoning Altar, procuring potent in-game enhancements.
Enthusiasts are in for a treat as four novel Dragon Ball Super areas materialise across the Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok maps. Crafted to mirror settings and architecture from the series, these zones include "Dragon Ball Village," "Tenkaichi Budokai," "Kame House," and "Karin Tower," all teeming with treasures for players to unearth. Additionally, players can engage the dynamic "Hoipoi Capsule," transforming it into the nimble three-seater "Air Car" to navigate the battlefield.
The concept of "Ki," integral to the Dragon Ball saga, takes centre stage. Acquiring "Ki" imparts enhanced mobility, empowers the iconic "Kamehameha" beam for obliterating foes, and introduces the "Buku-jutsu (Levitation technique)" enabling free-spirited aerial navigation at running speeds. Running low on "Ki" prompts players to consume scattered "Senzu Beans," replenishing "Ki," health, and energy.
There are also hidden Dragon Ball Trial looms. Teams must track down seven Dragon Balls, with locations visible to adversaries. Triumph requires safeguarding the Dragon Balls, protecting the Sheron Summoning Altar, and ultimately realising a wish.
The subsequent Dragon Ball Super mode introduces an unprecedented gameplay shift previously uncharted in BGMI. Operating from August 9 to October 9, this mode morphs the battleground into an animated art-style world. Participants relinquish conventional weaponry to embody five Dragon Ball Super characters, including Son Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Piccolo, and Ultimate Gohan. Armed with their distinctive primary and support abilities, players vie to emerge as the last survivor.
This mode introduces Spirit Crystlets and Spirit Crystals to refuel energy and upgrade moves, ascending up to Level 4. Innovative elements such as Teleport Points and Updraft facilitate strategic map traversal and manipulation.
The update also ushers in a plethora of Dragon Ball Super-themed outfits and items on August 10, encompassing exclusive attire spotlighting Son Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and the companions Pilaf and Karin.
Players will also see a forthcoming in-game-themed event that promises exclusive Dragon Ball Super rewards like the "Kamesennin Style Set," as announced through official BGMI social channels.
Beyond the Dragon Ball Super extravaganza, the 2.7 update introduces a slew of gameplay enhancements, encompassing a revamped World of Wonder creative mode with the editable Summer Brawl gameplay template. Moreover, the new assault rifle ACE32 graces all maps. Embracing Cycle 5 Season 13 brings fresh content, rewards, and cosmetics for players to unlock and relish. The latest Royale Pass Ace ushers in new core rewards and Season Missions, enhancing the BGMI experience.
Fans can anticipate more vehicle-related developments as BGMI unveils an impending collaboration with the esteemed British luxury car manufacturer, Aston Martin. No details have been announced yet.
