Queen Charlotte A Bridgerton Story Trailer: Prequel Shows Romance Between Young Queen And King George

The trailer of the limited series 'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton story' has dropped.

New Delhi: The trailer of 'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton story' has dropped. In the limited series, producer and showrunner Shonda Rhimes focus on the Queen's earlier life and her love affair with King George. The series' first trailer walks viewers through their first encounter, their romance as they grow to know one another, and the eventual secrets that threaten both their marriage and even the royal family.

The first two seasons of the Netflix series 'Bridgerton' depict the powerful and blunt Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) as she ruled over her subjects and sometimes meddled in their love affairs. 

In the first scene of the trailer, India Amarteifio, a newbie who plays the younger version of Charlotte, expresses her concern about being used as a pawn in the King's prearranged marriage (Corey Mylchreest). When the young couple finally meet, chemistry quickly blossoms, and Charlotte adapts to life at Buckingham Palace despite her overbearing mother-in-law Princess Augusta (Michelle Fairely). 

The series also features the young queen's advisors. Young Lady Agatha Danbury (Arsema Thomas) is a member of Charlotte's court, while Sam Clemmett plays Young Brimsley, her royal aide. Agatha was forced into an arranged marriage, just like Charlotte.

Adjoa Andoh portrays the older Lady Agatha Danbury, Ruth Gemmell portrays Lady Violet Bridgerton, and Hugh Sachs plays the older Brimsley. Golda also makes a comeback as the older Queen Charlotte. Along with Cyril Nri and Rob Maloney, the cast also includes Freddie Dennis, Richard Cunningham, Tunji Kasim, and Freddie Dennis.

'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story' will release on Netflix on May 4.

Meanwhile, 'Bridgerton's third season was also wrapped earlier this month, but it's not yet known when it will air. The focus of the upcoming season will be the relationship between Penelope Featherington, often known as Lady Whistledown, and Colin Bridgerton, the third brother, played by Luke Newton.
