Malaika Arora posted a new video promoting the premiere of her upcoming reality series, 'Moving In With Malaika' where she is heard saying, "Let's get real" refusing to be introduced as a "youth icon"

New Delhi: Malaika Arora, a well-known TV and film celebrity will soon appear in a brand-new reality series centred on her personal and professional life. The programme titled, 'Moving In With Malaika' is scheduled to premiere in December on the streaming service Disney Plus Hotstar.

On Tuesday, Malaika Arora posted a new video on Instagram promoting the premiere of her upcoming reality series, 'Moving In With Malaika' where she is heard saying, "Let's get real," refusing to be introduced as "youth icon" or "nation's pride".

In the video, when she was introduced as a top Bollywood actor, she sarcastically replied, "Housefull 2 dekhi hai na? Kuch aur bol do (Have you seen Housefull 2? Please say something else)"

After being addressed as "India’s most beloved celebrity", Arora says, “Beloved celebrity?’ I just get trolled for walking” The introducer then mentioned the troubles and struggles that she had undergone to get to where she is today, and Malaika retorted by saying, "Hardships — guys Malaika hun, Malala Nahi, everyone knows my problems are the first world."

She then slammed the script after being introduced as ‘the youth icon’ and ‘nation’s pride,’ and instead decided to introduce herself on her own. “You know what, I got this. Fans, friends and ex-friends, I'll give everyone something new to talk about. It's time to get up close and very personal,” she said.
