'I Am Sure It Will Happen': Shahid Kapoor On Farzi Season 2

Shahid has finally discussed the possibility of a second season of ‘Farzi’.

New Delhi: After making his OTT debut in Raj & DK's Amazon Prime original ‘Farzi’, Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is presently relishing in the glory of his work. Those who have seen the show on OTT want more. Shahid has finally discussed the possibility of a second season of ‘Farzi’.

The first installment was a huge success, and Shahid was praised for his work on it. In a recent interview, the actor voiced his opinion on the film's success. Next, Shahid was asked whether a second season of Farzi was in the works.

He said, "Farzi season 2 I am sure hoga lekin in cheezon mein waqt lagta hai - der do saal lagte hain kyunki show khatam hone ke baad ek saal lagta hai uso post-production main. Woh usko 35-40 languages mein dub karte hai aur 200 countries mein release karte hai.Jab shoot hoga toh uske ek saal baad release hoga, toh I think der do saal toh hai Farzi Season 2 mein definitely. (I am sure there will be a Farzi season 2, but these things take time. It takes one-and-a-half to two years for post-production alone with the series being dubbed in 35-40 languages and getting released in over 200 countries. When the shoot happens, it will take a further two years for release. So, I think there are still around two years left for the release of Farzi 2).”

His first season of the OTT hit ‘Farzi’ has been quite successful for him. The series, created by Raj & DK, premiered on Amazon Prime on February 10 and served as the actor's digital debut.

Farzi, written by Raj and DK, is focused on counterfeiting, the world's second-oldest profession. The Amazon Prime Original Series may be about farzi notes, but the idea is fresh. The eight episodes of Farzi, which typically last around 55 to 60 minutes, are exciting to watch, but there is too much going on. Having Vijay Sethupathi's Michael collaborate with an undercover agent from Raj and DK's espionage realm is a tease for that.

The cast also includes Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, and Amol Palekar, in addition to series regular Shahid Kapoor. ‘Farzi’, who has gained a lot of fan support, recently shocked his admirers by sharing this incredible news.

The crime thriller revolves around a con-artist Sunny (Shahid) who finds himself drawn into the dark while he plots a perfect con. However, Vijay, a fiery but eccentric task force officer, has made it his goal to eliminate the threat he represents to the country.

The series is streaming now on Amazon Prime Video.
