Vivek Agnihotri Says Ayan Mukerji Can't Pronounce 'Brahmastra' & Karan Johar Makes Fun Of LGBTQ Community

In a recent interview, Vivek Agnihotri about Ayan and his films. "Brahmastra, do they even know the meaning of that? And then they are talking about Astra Verse, what is even that?...

New Delhi: Vivek Agnihotri talked about Ayan Mukerji's upcoming film 'Brahmastra' in a recent interview. 'The Kashmir Files' filmmaker took a jibe at Ayan Mukerji and Karan Johar. He said that Ayan cannot even pronounce the name of his film while he also spoke about how filmmaker-producer Karan Johar's films often make fun of the LGBTQ community in his movies.

In a recent interaction with Kushal Mehra, he spoke about Ayan and his films. "Brahmastra, do they even know the meaning of that? And then they are talking about Astra Verse, what is even that? Then you put your director, who can't even pronounce Brahmastra. He is a wonderful director. I loved his Wake Up Sid and the second film and I wish he made a wonderful film. I am concerned about him like a mother is concerned about their children. I am very disappointed. So these are the problems," Vivek said.

“They talk about LGBTQ activism but they themselves make fun of it. Why do Karan's films often make fun of the LGBTQ community? Why? And they talk about activism," Vivek Agnihotri added.

Vivek Agnihotri's last film 'The Kashmir Files' became a box office success and minted a massive profit given the comparison made with its cost of production. Recently, Agnihotri also announced his upcoming next, 'The Delhi Files' on the anti-Sikh riots in Delhi during 1984 which shook the capital.

'Brahmastra' on the other hand is a three-part fantasy epic. In its first which is slated to release on September 9, 2022, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt play the lead pair while Nagarjuna, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy will also be seen while Shah Rukh Khan make a cameo appearance. The film is being presented to the Southern states by SS Rajamouli, the filmmaker of 'Baahubali' and 'RRR'.

The film is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra, and Ayan Mukerji, under the production banners- Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios, along with Ranbir and Marijke DeSouza.
