Vicky Kaushal Celebrates Army Day As He Shoots With Indian Army For 'Sam Bahadur'

Actor Vicky Kaushal, who will next be seen essaying the character of Field Marshall Sam Bahadur Manekshaw, is celebrating the occasion with the Indian Army as he shoots for the film.

New Delhi: India is celebrating 75th Army Day on January 15. Actor Vicky Kaushal, who will next be seen essaying the character of Field Marshall Sam Bahadur Manekshaw, is celebrating the occasion with the Indian Army as he shoots for the film.

Vicky took to his social media handle and shared a picture of himself posing with the Indian Army. The other cast and crew members of 'Sam Bahadur' can also be spotted in the picture.

Sharing the picture, Vicky wrote, "Shooting on #ArmyDay with the Army. Warmest wishes on the 75th Army Day to All Ranks from Team #Samबहादुर ! 🇮🇳🙏🏽"

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the much anticipated Meghna Gulzar directorial 'SamBahadur', starring Vicky Kaushal in the titular role, is set to release in cinemas on December 1, 2023. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra as Manekshaw's wife Silloo and Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Sam Manekshaw’s Army career spanned over four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and his military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war led to the creation of Bangladesh.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, starring Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh and produced  by Ronnie Screwvala, the film will release in theatres on 01.12.2023.
