Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Nupur Joshi to enter the show as Karthik's real mother
New Delhi: Get ready to witness another new entry in Star Plus' longest running TV show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'.
According to the reports, actress Nupur Joshi whom we have seen as lead actress in yesteryear show 'Rakhi' is all set to enter the daily soap in upcoming episodes.
The actress will portray the character of Karthik's (Mohsin Khan) real mother in the show .
As per the storyline of 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', Suvarna (Parul Chauhan) is the step mother of Karthik and his real mother has been shown dead. In the forthcoming episodes a huge twist will take place in which it will be revealed that his real mother is alive.
When leading entertainment portal Tellychakkar buzzed Nupur, about the same she said, “I have been approached for the show but nothing has been confirmed as of now.”
On the other hand, it has also been reported that actor Rishi Dev will replace actor Rohan Mehra as Naksh in popular soap opera.
Rohan is currently seen as a contestant on "Bigg Boss 10".
The character of Naksh was shown to have gone on a trek. But he will be seen returning to his house.
The show will take a six months' leap forward, after which the entire family will be seen gearing up for Naira (Shivangi Joshi) and Kartik's (Mohsin Khan) engagement ceremony.
"Being a part of the show that is an out and out audience favourite, feels amazing. ‘Yeh Rishta...' as a show, is a brand in itself. I am really excited about entering the show," Rishi said in a statement.
"Naksh, as a character, is extremely popular amongst the audiences and I really wish to do justice to the character and live up to the audience expectations. I am really looking forward to playing Naksh," he added.
"Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" is aired on Star Plus.
