Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Karan Mehra Aka Original Naitik To Make A RETURN?

New Delhi: Star Plus’ ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ has managed to win the hearts of the viewers with its entertaining episodes. The show starring Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan in the respective roles of Naira and Kartik recently completed 3000 episodes. ‘YRKKH’ became the first Hindi daily soap to achieve the milestone. The show is doing quite good in terms of TRPs and is locked in a battle with ‘Kundali Bhagya’ in the ratings race. ‘Yeh Rishta’ originally featured Hina Khan and Karan Mehra in lead roles. The two popular TV stars, who part of the show since its inception, quit the daily in 2016. While Hina Khan’s character of Akshara was shown to be dead, Vishal Singh replaced Karan Mehra as new Naitik. (Source- Twitter) Gossip mills are now buzzing with the rumours that Karan will make a return as Naitik in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. It was said that Karan met the show’s producer Rajan at an awards function and there are chances the actor will make a comeback to the show. The ‘Bigg Boss 10’ contestant, while talking to an entertainment portal, refuted the rumours of meeting Shahi. ‘’Well, we are in touch and exchange messages, but I couldn’t meet Rajan Sir that day. It is strange how such news is formulated,’’ Karan told Tellychakkar. When asked if he was approached to make a return to ‘Yeh Rishta’, he told the portal, ‘’Abhi tak toh aisa kuch bhi nahi hai.’’
