New Delhi: Popular reality show 'Shark Tank India' Season 2 is all set to begin. Fans are eagerly waiting for the arrival of the show wherein we see aspiring entrepreneurs make business pitches to a group of sharks/business leaders. Vineeta Singh, who is also one of the popular sharks, made an inspiring revelation about her entrepreneurial journey in a recent interaction. In an interview with ETimes, Vineeta spoke about the struggles of her journey and how she managed to become successful along the way.

Vineeta shared that she started her journey 15 years ago when entrepreneurship was a no-go. "I started my journey 15 years ago when entrepreneurship was like unemployment. It had zero respect and people would think twice before marrying their daughters to an entrepreneur thinking that their future will be risky. But it is all getting changed now. In the last 6 months I have met so many young kids whose parents say that they love watching Shark Tank India and are so inspired to start their own business. They are proud and they are not discouraging their kids to start a business fearing they will fail. The entire conversation that has started around entrepreneurship is super important for India’s growth story and becoming aspiration and career has happened because of Shark Tank. From the smallest of towns people are coming and presenting their businesses and I feel very lucky that I am going to be a part of season 2 as well."

Vineeta also shared how the quality of pitches received in season 2 are even better than those from Season 1. Revealing more about what to expect from season 2, she also added that Season 2 sees a lot more argument between sharks in comparison to Season 1.

The CEO of Sugar cosmetic also revealed that she is glad to see how things have changed for real after Season 1 of 'Shark Tank'. Vineeta also spoke about the fame that has come from being on TV. "In India only film-stars were popular and if at all next were cricketers. I had never imagined in my life that there would be a time in my lifetime when entrepreneurs will also become mainstream household names. I am very lucky with this big change that is coming. India is fundamentally an entrepreneurial country, every household has businessmen now they are getting celebrated. For us as Sharks to become these household names it is a huge privilege and responsibility that we don’t want to let down the trust of the fans." She told ETimes.

Vineeta Singh is one of the co-judges on the investors panel who will listen to pitches in Season 2. 'Shark Tank 2' will begin streaming from January 2, 2023 on Sony TV.
