Shark Tank India Contestant Accuses Judges Of Ghosting A Pitcher After Making A Deal: 'Never Met Or Responded To Mails'
A contestant from Shark Tank India 1 has alleged that the sharks on the show ghosted a pitcher from season 1 who was offered a deal on the show.
New Delhi: A contestant from Shark Tank India 1 has alleged that the sharks on the show ghosted a pitcher from season 1 who was offered a deal on the show.
In a series of tweets, Akshay Shah, who is the founder of iWebTechno, and was a Shark Tank India season1 contestant, claimed that two Shark Tank judges promised investment to a pitcher but after the show ended, they never met him or even responded to his emails.
Akshay neither took the names of the two sharks nor of the pitcher.
Akshay wrote, “Met a founder yesterday, who had got a deal from two sharks in season 1, who never met him nor responded to his mails post Shark Tank India – ab kya bolen.”
When he was asked why the ‘sharks’ haven’t been ‘exposed’ by the founder yet, he replied in a tweet, “Like I said most founders fear, I am helpless :) In season 1 what we faced, more than 50% others faced the same or worse, the outcome being Ashneer was shown the door and sharks counselled not to be rude and brash and be considerate but no founder came out in the open!”
Another person wrote, "Don't just leave us hanging like that. Reveal the name of the company – if not anything else, it would at least give your claims some credibility."
Akshay replied, "Most founders don't have the b**** of steel... none wanna reveal their identity, am helpless!"
Another Twitter user wrote, "This happens in lot of shows. Not everybody gets funding." Akshay replied, "Not getting funding and not getting response post agreeing to fund, dono alag hai boss (the two are different situations)."
Akshay had written a Twitter thread last year describing the pitching process on the show.
Shark Tank India season 2 features six sharks – Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, Peyush Bansal and Amit Jain.
