'Ramayan' Actress Dipika Chikhlia's Mother Passes Away; Shares Post Mourning Her Death

'Ramayan' actress Dipika Chikhlia, who played the role of Devi Sita in the hit show, expressed grief on social media after her mother's death.

New Delhi: Popular actress Dipika Chikhlia, who is fondly known for playing the role of Devi Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayan’, is grief stricken as she has lost her mother. The actress took to social media to share the news of her mother’s demise. Dipika shared a post and mourned her dearest mummy’s death. “Loss of your parent is a grief one cannot go by easily,” Dipika wrote on Instagram. Fans flooded the comments section with their messages and offered their condolences to her family. Also READ: Picture Perfect! Dipika is quite active on social media and she keeps on treating fans with throwback gems. She had posted a throwback snap with her mother and mother. The caption for the post read, "My mum,dad and me .... I had my family albums out ,so dug into it deeper and found some pictures which I wanted to share ... my mum said I loved dressing all indian and even then sarees were my all time favorite,if my mum was carrying a purse even I wanted it so apparently I had a collection of purses too ..this picture is taken before the birth of my sister in baroda now Vadodara ..where I stood for election... opposite the maharaja on a bjp seat."
Last year, Dipika had shared a throwback picture of her mother on Guru Purnima along with the caption, "Verified Mother is the 1st guru in a child’s life ..so wishing my mom happy guru purnima."
Dipika Chikhlia's much-loved show 'Ramayan' was re-telecasted during the COVID-19 lockdown. The mythological show co-starring Arun Govil, Sunil Lahri, Arvind Trivedi grabbed several eyeballs during its re-run on the small screen. 'Ramayan' reportedly became the world's most-watched show with a record breaking viewership.
