Naagin 4: Puja Banerjee To REPLACE Surbhi Jyoti As NEW Naagin In Ekta Kapoor's Show?

Popular TV actress Puja Banerjee might play the lead role in Ekta Kapoor's 'Naagin 4'.

New Delhi: Colors TV’s ‘Naagin 3’ starring Surbhi Jyoti, Pearl V Puri and Anita Hassanandani managed to win the hearts of the viewers with its drama-packed episodes. Ardent fans of the franchise have been eagerly waiting for ‘Naagin 3’ ever since the third season went off in May 2019. The channel aired a new teaser of ‘Naagin 4’ during the first episode of ‘Bigg Boss 13’. Ekta Kapoor had earlier announced that she would reveal the new ‘Naagin’ in September. Although, the ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ producer didn’t announce the leading lady’s name, she shared the promo of ‘Naagin 4’ on Instagram and Twitter. ‘’#NAAGIN4 ....TEASER Aaj #bigboss aur bahut jald #nagin4 .... only on @colors #colorsweekendgetsgoingagain,’’ Ekta Kapoor captioned the post. ‘Who will play the female lead in Naagin 4?’- is the question on everyone’s mind. The names of Hina Khan and Krystle D’Souza were doing the rounds on the internet. As per the latest buzz, Puja Banerjee might play one of the leads in ‘Naagin 4’. A report in an entertainment portal suggested that there are many actresses in contention to play the lead role in fourth season of ‘Naagin’ but Puja is leading by a decent margin. Puja is yet to sign the dotted lines as Ekta will take the final call, the report in SpotboyE said. The other modalities are also being worked out, the report added.

On the professional front, Puja Banerjee was last seen in a fiction show in Colors TV’s 'Vish' starring Debina Bonnerjee, Vishal Vashishtha and Sana Makbul in lead roles. Her last full-fledged role was in ‘Dev 2’ co-starring Ashish Chowdhry. The Bengali beauty made her TV debut with ‘Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki’. She later went on to play the lead in ‘Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna’ opposite Kunal Verma and 'Sarvggun Sampanna'.

Puja is fondly known for Goddess Parvati in ‘Devon Ke Dev-Mahadev’ opposite Mohit Raina. She replaced Sonarika Bhadoria in the mythological show. Puja also played the negative role of Afreen in ‘Qubool Hai’. Watch this space for more updates!
