Kumbh 2019: Popular actress Sushmita Mukherjee visits prayagraj; Poses with a Naga baba taking his blessings!

The veteran Television and Film actress Sushmita Mukherjee who's still remembered for her role of 'Kitty' from popular detective show of the 80s 'Karamchand'(played by Pankaj Kapur) has featured in various movies & serials ever since. She was last seen in Shahid Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor's film 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' post which she debuted on the digital platform with web series 'Imperfect' last year. Sushmita captioned the picture - "KUMBH with Naga Baba. ????".

Millions of devotees continue to gather in the Kumbh nagri to take a holy dip at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati rivers at the ongoing Kumbh mela started last month. Sushmita who's know for her versatile roles over the past three decades, is married to actor Raja Bundela who's her second husband, since 2000 and has two sons with him Rudransh & Rudranuj Bundela. She was earlier married to director Sudhir Mishra. Speaking about her 80s Doordarshan show 'Karamchand' and her role of 'Kitty' the dim-witted secretary of the carrot-chomping detective Pankaj Kapur, in a recent interview, Sushmita had said - "Though it was a different generation, I still find people referring to me as Kitty. It's sweet, and I feel nice about it. But my sons are amused when anyone calls me that. I tell them it was [relating to] a time before they were born".

When Sushmita Mukherjee created mess on the sets of Gangaa Sushmita was promoting her digital show 'Imperfect' in which she played a sassy and bossy character of a 50 plus old lady named 'Simmy' Simi last year. She further told DNA - "It's unlike TV, which is determined by TRPs. What was also interesting is that the show is being helmed by a female director duo -- Vidhi Gulati and Ruchi Joshi. I wish the show was a bit longer though as it is only a 10-episode run."
