Kanika Kapur QUITS 'Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2', THIS 'Udaan' Actress To REPLACE Her

Vidhi Pandya, who shot to fame after playing the role of Imli, will reportedly replace Kanikka Kapur in 'Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2'.

SonyLIV's 'Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2', which earlier aired on Sony TV, has managed to impress the young viewers with its interesting episodes. The romantic drama starring Kanikka Kapur and Mohit Kumar will soon witness a big replacement. Kanika, who plays the role of Suman in the show, has put down her papers. Yes, you read that right! Kanikka Kapur will no longer will be seen in 'EDKV' season two as her contract has reportedly expired.  The actress, who has bee part of the show since its inception, thanked the fans for the love and support. Kapur, while talking to a leading daily, described her journey as 'phenomenal'. "It has been a phenomenal journey. I have received unconditional love from the audience, but now with a heavy heart, I have to say goodbye," Kapur told Mid-Day. The report added that the newbie actress now wishes to explore other acting options.

Vidhi Pandya, who played the role of Imlie in Meera Deosthale and Vijayendra Kumeria starrer 'Udaan', will replace Kanikka Kapur in 'Ek Duje Ke Vaste 2', the report said. Vidhi has also featured in shows like 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Tum Aise Hi Rehna'.

'Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2' is the  spiritual successor of 'Ek Duje Ka Vaaste' which starred Namik Paul and Nikita Dutta. The show went off air on October 7, 2016. It enjoyed a loyal fan following among youngsters. Several popular TV stars including Rajshree Thakur and Saumya Tandon have quit their respective shows this year. Rajshree, who made her comeback with 'Shaadi Mubarak', said goodbye to her show within one-and-a-half month. Rati Pandey stepped into Rajshree's shoes in the popular Star Plus drama. Saumya Tandon quit 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain' after playing the role of Anita bhabhi for over five long years. Watch this space for more updates!
