Indian Idol 10 winner Salman Ali has turned mentor for new singing reality show 'Superstar Singer'
New Delhi: Standing in the long queue of Indian Idol, this boy dreamt of becoming famous, he dreamt of becoming a world famous singer. While he sang at the auditions little did he know that he would win Indian Idol 10 and would actually become ‘Dilon Ki Dhadkan’ of the nation. He had no idea that he would be back at the same job after his win. To his surprise, a brief time after winning the show, he returned to the stage of Sony Entertainment Television’s home-grown IP Superstar Singer, but this time as a Captain. Salman Ali has come a long way from standing in the queue of auditions as a contestant to auditioning those who are standing in the same queue of Superstar Singer, within a year.
Life has actually taken a full circle for Salman Ali who has returned to training little kids, after he emerged as the winner of Indian Idol Season 10. Salman, a middle class boy from a small village Mewat in Haryana used to train kids of his village in singing to support his family run monthly expenses of the house. Music was his passion and his idea of life and then someone suggested him to be a part of the iconic show Indian Idol, and the suggestion changed his life upside-down. He contested for the show and emerged as a winner. The acclamation he earned through the show was boundless and he became the singing sensation of the year.
It was after all this that Sony Entertainment Television gave him a chance to teach the children from all over the country in its upcoming kids singing reality show Superstar Singer. The concept of the show can be well understood by the tagline of the show, talaashenge aur taraashenge. There would be 3 more captains along with Salman Ali namely, Jyotica Tangri, Sachin Valmiki and Nitin Kumar who will be seen guiding the kids in their entire singing journey on the show to bring ‘singing ka kal’.
When reached out to Salman, he commented, “Singing was always my passion and something very close to my heart. Back in Mewat, before starting my journey as an Indian Idol contestant I used to communicate the art of music to children of my village. Now when Superstar Singer has given me that chance, I am both excited and nervous. I hope I stand by everyone’s expectations and help the kids polish and present their talent in a better. Superstar Singer starting soon from 29th June, every Sat-Sun, 8:00 PM only on Sony Entertainment Television !
